It’s Foster Care Fortnight and we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to our amazing foster carers who make such a positive impact to local children in Blackpool.

We are very proud of everything that our foster carers do to change children’s lives for the better and we’d like to thank each and every one of you.
Foster Care Fortnight is also a great opportunity to celebrate our fostering support team who go above and beyond to help our carers whenever they need it.
This is the UK’s biggest foster care awareness-raising campaign and is co-ordinated by national charity, The Fostering Network.
Celebrating our foster carers
During the two weeks, we are hosting a range of activities for our foster carers.
This includes a daily raffle with some great prizes and a group walk along the Prom with lunch at the Solaris Centre.
To offer our foster carers some fab days out, we’ve teamed up with Sandcastle Waterpark and Showtown.
We’ve also taken over the lighting of the Blackpool Tower for one evening and have illuminated it in pink, which is our fostering branding colour to shine the spotlight on our dedicated foster carers.

Foster carers needed
The fortnight of activity helps us to publicise the need for more foster families in Blackpool. It provides an opportunity to appeal to dedicated, resilient and child-focused people to consider fostering for Blackpool.
